Law of Assumption
Neville Goddard's teaching that inhabiting an assumed fulfilled desire is the decisive move in bringing it about.
- Beliefs
- Identity
The Law of Assumption is associated with Neville Goddard, whose teaching asked followers to assume the feeling of a wish fulfilled. It differs in emphasis from attraction language: rather than attracting a desired thing through vibration, it centres the inner experience of already being or having what is wanted.
It is not evidence that imagining an outcome produces it. Modern internet retellings often detach Goddard's ideas from the biblical and New Thought language in which he presented them, then make them sound like a private technology for controlling life. Imagination can shape rehearsal and choice without becoming certainty.
Omzoe frames assumption practice as an identity and attention experiment. A reader can ask how acting from a valued direction changes their next choice, without being asked to regard the outcome as already secured.
