Limiting Belief

A belief understood to narrow what someone attempts or permits, often examined in coaching and self-reflection practices.

  • Identity

A limiting belief is a belief understood to narrow what a person attempts, notices, or permits themselves to do. The phrase is common in coaching and manifestation practice, where it often names a sentence such as "I am not ready" or "people like me do not do that."

It is not proof that belief alone decides events. Beliefs can shape behaviour, and behaviour can shape some outcomes, but conditions, skill, luck, power, and other people also matter. Calling every obstacle a belief makes material reality disappear and can turn reflection into self-blame.

Omzoe approaches a limiting belief as a hypothesis to examine, not a hidden enemy to defeat. A practice can test what the sentence encourages or prevents, then find a more honest and workable next action.
