Surrender

Releasing the attempt to force an outcome, whether understood as spiritual trust or practical acceptance of a limit.

Surrender is the decision to stop forcing an outcome that cannot be controlled in the present. In spiritual language it may mean trust in something larger than the self; in practical language it can mean recognising a limit, a loss, or the fact that another person has their own agency.

It is not the same as giving up discernment, tolerating harm, or abandoning a responsibility that remains yours. Surrender can be wise when struggle has become futile, but the word can also be used to silence a legitimate need for boundaries, repair, or action.

Omzoe uses the idea carefully when an aim meets uncertainty. The useful move is to separate what can be practised from what cannot be forced, then let the next practice belong to the first category.
