Burnett is a designer and educator best known with Dave Evans for turning ideas from design practice into a public framework for career and life decisions. Their work came out of Stanford teaching, where a question about the right answer is recast as a question that can be explored through small prototypes.
The appeal is practical: an uncertain person need not settle the whole future before trying a conversation, a class or a modest project. The limits matter too. Experimentation is easier for people with money, time, mobility and supportive relationships; a prototype is not a remedy for structural constraint.
Omzoe uses the same modesty in an Aim Path. A proposed aim is a testable next commitment, not a claim that a person’s life can be engineered from a worksheet.
In their own words
You don't need to know your passion in order to design a life you love.
Remember, there are multiple great lives within you.
Designers don't think their way forward. Designers build their way forward.
